The Graduate Development Program – Mining (MIN02) is to: 

• Assist in preparing daily and weekly mine plans aligned with production targets, equipment availability, and ore quality requirements. 

• Assist in designing pit sequences, dumping locations, and stockpiles related to short-term mine planning to ensure alignment with medium- and long-term mine planning. 

• Assist in clearly communicating and coordinating mine plans with all production-related departments, such as Mine Operations, Survey, Geotechnical & Hydrogeology, Mine Geology, Processing, Mine Project, and contractors. 

• Assist in monitoring actual performance against plans, and providing variance analysis, improvement plans, and operational recommendations. 

• Assist in supporting operational activities to manage daily challenges and adjust plans as needed in the field. 

• Assist in ensuring compliance with pit design parameters and geotechnical constraints. 

• Assist in comparing planned and actual production (tonnage, grade, and location) to identify any deviations. 

• Assist the Mine Engineer in preparing daily and weekly reports. 

• Assist the Mine Engineer in ensuring that all short-term mine planning complies with safety, geotechnical, and environmental standards, particularly those referring to the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 1827.K/30/MEM/2018 and the principles of good mining practice. 

Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria: 

1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering with minimum GPA 3.00. 

2. English language proficiency (supported by appropriate documents/certificates, for example, TOEFL: 400 or IELTS: 4.0). 

3. Desirable Master’s degree in Mine Engineering, have Driver’s License (SIM A), and POP Certification. 

4. Good knowledge of Fleet Management Systems. 

5. Have attended workshops related to Fleet Management Systems.

The responsibilities of the Graduate Development Program – Mining includes:

• Gaining in-depth knowledge of PTAR’s Business Processes and providing data-driven solutions supported by the Fleet Management System.
• Managing mine production information and reporting systems on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Maintaining and updating the Fleet Management System in line with mining progress.
• Coordinating and overseeing production activities through the effective use of the Fleet Management System, ensuring alignment with operations to meet or exceed production and productivity targets.
• Analyzing and reporting reasons for non-compliance with operational targets or dispatch instructions by operators or supervisors, providing data-driven recommendations to the operations team for resolution.
• Upholding operational quality standards to implement Good Mining Practice (GMP) as part of operational excellence, utilizing the Fleet Management System as a core value

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering; a master’s degree in mining is preferred.
2. Indonesian citizens aged 18-25 for bachelor’s degree holders and 24-28 for Master’s/Postgraduate Degree holders.
3. A minimum GPA of 3.0.
4. Possession of a POP Certificate is preferred.
5. Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
6. Prior experience and a solid understanding of Mining Business Processes.
7. Strong skills in analysis, reporting, and technical writing.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of mining operations, preferably in open-pit hard rock mining; familiarity with drilling, blasting, and project work is an advantage.
9. Competency in data analysis and the ability to provide data-driven solutions.
10. Knowledge of equipment specifications and capabilities.
11. Full-time commitment to the program, including signing a Development Agreement Letter and willingness to work on-site under a roster schedule.
12. Demonstrated motivation, creativity, strong communication skills, and teamwork abilities.
13. Passion for learning and openness to challenges.
14. Strong commitment to PTAR’s standards regarding environmental protection, safety, business ethics, and good corporate governance.
15. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
