This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Processing (Metallurgy) Department and will report directly to the Senior Metallurgist.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Plant Metallurgist<\/strong> is responsible for supporting the monitoring and reporting of all aspects of plant performance. This role provides both technical and operational support to the Operations Team to ensure metallurgical parameters and process control strategies consistently meet plant design specifications, with a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role also supports the timely preparation of metallurgical reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting activities. In addition, the Plant Metallurgist is responsible for supervising Metallurgical Technicians in both the metallurgical laboratory and processing plant, including participation in survey campaigns to evaluate and improve plant performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or other related disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a production metallurgical role within the mining or resource sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. At least 1 year of hands-on experience in CIL\/CIP gold processing operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Strong understanding of process flow and operational principles within a CIL Process Plant environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Proven ability to identify process variability and provide practical recommendations for operational performance improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Demonstrated capability to supervise and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activities of Metallurgical Technicians.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, process, and interpret operational data for troubleshooting and performance optimization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Comprehensive knowledge of occupational hazards, safety practices, and environmental compliance requirements relevant to mineral processing operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Strong proficiency in verbal and written English, with the ability to effectively understand and follow both oral and written instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other internet-based applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Possession of a valid driver\u2019s license is mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
