Keberadaannya dapat menjadi petunjuk alami kondisi ekosistem, terutama kualitas air tawar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capung termasuk ordo <em>Odonata<\/em>, yang terdiri atas capung biasa (<em>Anisoptera<\/em>) dan capung jarum (<em>Zygoptera<\/em>). Habitatnya beragam, mulai dari hutan, kebun, sawah, sungai, hingga danau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lebih Lama di Air<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebagian besar siklus hidup capung berlangsung sebagai larva atau nimfa di dalam air, selama beberapa bulan hingga bertahun-tahun. Pada fase ini, larva memangsa jentik nyamuk, cacing air, dan organisme kecil lainnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena membutuhkan perairan yang cukup oksigen dan relatif bersih, larva capung sensitif terhadap perubahan kualitas air. Larvanya membantu mengendalikan organisme air, termasuk jentik nyamuk, sementara capung dewasa memangsa berbagai serangga. Pada saat yang sama, capung menjadi sumber makanan bagi ikan, burung, katak, reptil, dan kelelawar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karena itu, penurunan populasi capung dapat memengaruhi keseimbangan rantai makanan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Menjaga Habitat, Menjaga Ekosistem<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alih fungsi lahan, pencemaran air, penggunaan pestisida berlebihan, serta perubahan pola hujan dan suhu dapat mengancam keberadaan capung. Menjaga kualitas air, melindungi lahan basah, mempertahankan vegetasi di bantaran sungai, dan memulihkan habitat menjadi bagian penting dalam mendukung keberlangsungannya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dalam rehabilitasi sungai maupun reklamasi lahan bekas tambang, jumlah dan keragaman capung dapat menjadi salah satu petunjuk pemulihan ekosistem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pada akhirnya, capung mengajarkan bahwa kesehatan lingkungan dapat tercermin dari makhluk-makhluk kecil di dalamnya.
