Adujaknas GenRe Indonesia 2026 was held on 21–22 September 2026 at the Ministry of Population and Family Development of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendukbangga RI) in Jakarta. The event provided a platform for GenRe Forums from across Indonesia to share experiences and showcase collaborative practices with partners in their respective regions.

In the MYP category, the assessment focused on the meaningful involvement of the GenRe Forum in programme implementation. Rather than participating solely as beneficiaries or programme participants, the forum was actively involved in programme design, needs mapping, monitoring and activity evaluation.

Agincourt Resources was represented at the event by Senior Manager Community, Christine Pepah. The recognition reflects an ongoing collaborative effort to create greater opportunities for young people to contribute to programmes that are relevant and beneficial to the community.

This commitment was brought to life through Coral Reef Transplantation Training held at Pantai Indah Pandan, Central Tapanuli Regency, on 10th September 2026. The activity was a collaboration between Agincourt Resources, Yayasan Masyarakat Penjaga Pantai Barat, Bank Sampah Yamantab, and Kelompok Konservasi Laut Nusantara (KKLN).

The activity was attended by KKLN Chairperson Antonius Zebua and Head of the Conservation Area Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) at the North Sumatra Provincial Marine and Fisheries Service, Eliezeri Irfan Hulu. Representing Agincourt Resources, Biodiversity Management Supervisor Muhamad Kurniawan attended alongside the Biodiversity Management team.

The training comprised a series of activities, including registration, an opening session, presentation of materials, and a coral reef transplantation workshop. Participants also took part in practical sessions as part of their learning about efforts to restore and conserve coral reef ecosystems.

Coral reef transplantation is one of the approaches used to rehabilitate ecosystems by relocating or propagating coral fragments so that they can grow again in areas requiring restoration. Through this training, participants were introduced to the approach in a practical manner, enabling efforts to protect marine ecosystems to be carried out with the appropriate knowledge and skills.

For Agincourt Resources, collaboration in conservation is part of its commitment to fostering environmental awareness beyond the boundaries of its operational area. By working together with communities and stakeholders, knowledge and experience can be shared to support the sustainability of coastal ecosystems.

The book was developed to introduce the biological richness of the area surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine, covering a wide range of flora and fauna species as well as herbarium specimens that form part of the Batang Toru Forest Ecosystem. Its presence is expected to broaden knowledge, particularly among students, while fostering greater awareness of the importance of preserving the ecosystems around them.

Superintendent Community Services of Agincourt Resources, Yayan Nuryawan, said that the Batang Toru Forest Ecosystem is a gift to Indonesia, particularly to the communities living within and around the area. The forest is not only a habitat for diverse living organisms but also provides a range of benefits that sustain life. Therefore, efforts to introduce and preserve the forest’s natural wealth need to be carried out continuously.

Echoing this view, representatives of the South Tapanuli Regency Regional Environmental Agency (DLHD) noted that Agincourt Resources’ commitment to environmental conservation is reflected in its various studies of flora, fauna and herbarium specimens. Collaboration between the company, government and communities is considered essential to broaden knowledge and foster greater appreciation of the natural wealth found in the surroundings of everyday life.

Manager Biodiversity & Environmental Strategic Development of Agincourt Resources, Syaiful Anwar, explained that the development of the book forms part of a long-term effort to support biodiversity conservation in the Batang Toru Forest Ecosystem. Through its Biodiversity & Environmental Strategic Development programme, Agincourt Resources documents various flora and fauna species, as well as herbarium specimens, to introduce the area’s biological richness to a wider audience.

The activity was attended by 110 participants, comprising 25 school principals and teachers, 75 students, two DLHD representatives and eight Agincourt Resources representatives. The participants came from nine junior and senior secondary schools and their equivalents in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru Districts: SMPN 1 Batang Toru, SMPN 2 Batang Toru, MTsN 3 Tapanuli Selatan–Telo, SMAN 1 Batang Toru, SMKN 1 Batang Toru, MAS NU Napa, SMPN 1 Muara Batang Toru, SMPN 2 Muara Batang Toru, and MTsN 3 Tapanuli Selatan–Muara Ampolu.

Through this book, the forest is introduced not merely as a habitat for flora and fauna, but also as a shared natural heritage to be understood, valued and protected together.

This Ramadan Safari served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the company and the community through religious activities and direct engagement with residents. In addition to worship activities and community gatherings, the programme also included a Trauma Healing session at the first location, Masjid Al Fatah Dusun Mabang Pasir.

The Trauma Healing activity aimed to provide psychosocial support to the community, particularly children, in coping with the aftermath of previous disaster events. Through interactive and educational approaches, participants were encouraged to express themselves, rebuild their sense of safety, and foster renewed spirit and optimism.

At other locations, the Ramadan Safari programme featured religious talks (tausiyah), communal iftar gatherings, and the distribution of assistance as a reflection of the company’s care for communities surrounding its operational area. The presence of Agincourt Resources among the community is expected to deliver meaningful benefits and further strengthen the values of togetherness during Ramadan. Through this initiative, Agincourt Resources remains committed to continuously engaging with and contributing to the community, not only through its operational activities but also through social initiatives that create positive and sustainable impact.

The series of activities, which began at the start of Ramadan in late February 2026, featured various religious competitions involving hundreds of participants from villages surrounding the operational area of the Martabe Gold Mine. Through this event, young participants not only competed but also gained confidence, deepened their understanding of religious values, and strengthened social bonds within the community.

Several competition categories were held, including the Young Preacher (Dai Cilik) Competition, Subuh Adhan Competition, Mujawwad Qur’an Recitation Competition, Syarhil Qur’an Competition, Khatib Competition, and Tahfiz Al-Qur’an Competition. The programme concluded with the announcement of winners from first place to third runner-up, held on Saturday in 7^th March 2026 at Sopo Daganak.

At the event, Agincourt Resources also presented awards to the competition winners in the form of trophies and development grants as an appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm and achievements. The programme continued with the distribution of assistance to 649 orphans from all villages in Batang Toru Subdistrict and Muara Batang Toru Subdistrict. In addition, basic food packages were distributed to 1,637 elderly residents across 15 villages surrounding the mining area in the two subdistricts as a reflection of the company’s social commitment to communities around its operational area.

In his remarks during the closing ceremony and the announcement of winners, Manager Community Relations of Agincourt Resources, Masdar Muda, stated that Gema Ramadan forms part of the company’s commitment to supporting youth development. He expressed hope that the programme would provide meaningful opportunities for children and young people to develop their potential while strengthening their character.

Meanwhile, Head of Batang Toru Subdistrict, Mara Tinggi Siregar, appreciated the event for creating a positive Ramadan atmosphere within the community. According to him, activities like this not only reinforce religious values but also strengthen unity among residents.

For the participants, Gema Ramadan provided an opportunity to test their abilities while contributing positively to their communities through religious activities. This spirit was reflected by Maher Mustafa Akhtar from Bandar Hapinis, who won first place in the Young Preacher Competition, and Riska Awaliyah Hasibuan from Napa Village, who secured second place in the Syarhil Qur’an Competition.

Maher Mustafa Akhtar shared that the programme was a memorable experience, as it allowed him to practise speaking in front of an audience while motivating him to further deepen his religious knowledge.

Riska Awaliyah Hasibuan explained that preparing for the competition was a meaningful learning process, as she and her team consistently practised to deliver the message of the Qur’an effectively before the judges and participants.

Through Gema Ramadan 2026 Tambang Emas Martabe, Agincourt Resources hopes the programme will continue to serve as a platform for nurturing young generations who are accomplished, well-characterised, and spiritually grounded in South Tapanuli.
