The Sukakeswan program, initiated by Agincourt Resources in 2022, has seen significant capacity improvements through various training sessions. In addition to business planning, participants have also received training in group capacity building, artificial insemination, livestock care and health, and the introduction of livestock feed crops.
“The ultimate goal of this program is to establish a strong institutional structure for the farmers’ group,” said Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources. “With a solid institutional foundation, farmers can collaborate more effectively and improve the competitiveness of their livestock products.”
“We are extremely grateful to Agincourt Resources for this opportunity,” said Alimarhot Siregar, a member of Sukakeswan. “This training has been very beneficial for us in developing our livestock businesses.”
With the completion of this training, it is hoped that Sukakeswan farmers will be able to increase the productivity and quality of their livestock. Additionally, they are expected to improve their marketing efforts, ultimately boosting their income.
