Aug 31, 2024

From Saturday to Sunday, August 31 – September 1, 2024, the Astra Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards were held with great enthusiasm in Jakarta. The event recognized Astra’s supported communities that have made sustainable social contributions across various fields, including health, education, the environment, and entrepreneurship.

One of the proudest achievements came from Posyandu Tulip 1 in the village of Sipenggeng, which successfully secured 3rd Place in the Health Category of the Avicenna Astra Competition. This success was due to their innovative “Bule Tulip Anti-Stunting” program (Catfish Cultivation to Increase Animal Protein Consumption), a smart solution to tackle stunting by boosting the consumption of animal protein. The award was accepted by Sri Malinda, a representative from Posyandu Tulip 1 Sipenggeng.

In addition to Posyandu Tulip 1, Posyandu Suplir 1 from the village of Napa also made it into the top five finalists in the Health Category. Their innovation, “SILAPOR ASMAN TOGA,” is a monitoring system that tracks the use of plants in the TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants) gardens, an important step in optimizing the potential of herbal plants for community health.  With these accomplishments, both Posyandu Tulip 1 and Posyandu Suplir 1 have demonstrated that through strong innovation and collaboration, community-level health issues can be effectively and creatively addressed.
