In an effort to support the creation of a healthy and high-quality younger generation, Agincourt Resources held a training session for the Generasi Berencana (GenRe) at Sopo Daganak, Napa Village. The event, which took place on Monday, September 30, 2024, aimed to equip adolescents with the knowledge and skills to prevent stunting, a chronic nutritional problem that remains a challenge in Indonesia.
The meeting was attended by healthy school adolescents, 176 GenRe members, Family Planning Field Workers (PLKB), principals, and accompanying teachers. The participants enthusiastically followed the training sessions delivered by competent speakers. One of them, Abdul Latif Lubis, the Technical Assistant for the Tapanuli Selatan Regency Stunting Task Force, emphasized the important role of adolescents in preventing stunting.
“Adolescence is the golden age for instilling healthy habits. By providing the right understanding of stunting from an early age, we hope that adolescents can become agents of change in their communities,” he said.

This activity was a collaboration between Agincourt Resources and the Tapanuli Selatan Regency Department of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (PPPA-PPKB), as well as the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru Districts.
It is hoped that through this activity, GenRe adolescents can become ambassadors for stunting prevention in their respective schools and communities. In this way, efforts to reduce stunting rates in South Tapanuli can be achieved more effectively.
