Agincourt Resources has once again achieved outstanding recognition in the mining sector by winning the 2024 Subroto Award in the category of Most Innovative Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) in Education. This prestigious award, presented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), acknowledges Agincourt Resources innovative PPM program, which focuses on improving the quality of education in the Martabe Gold Mine and South Tapanuli operational areas. The 2024 Subroto Award was personally presented by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Jakarta.
The PPM programs of Agincourt Resources, including the improvement of informal education at the Sopo Daganak Arts Center and the Children’s Reading Park (TBA), have been recognized for their significant impact on the community. The Non-Formal Education PPM Program at Sopo Daganak and TBA supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Agincourt Resources Vice President Director, Ruli Tanio, expressed gratitude for the award. “This award is a testament to our commitment to contributing to sustainable development in our operational areas. We believe that education is the key to unlocking better future opportunities for the younger generation,” Ruli stated. Also in attendance at the award ceremony were Agincourt Resources Director of External Relations, Sanny Tjan, and Senior Manager of Community, Christine Pepah.
With this award, Agincourt Resources further proves that mining companies can play an active role in improving the welfare of local communities through innovative and sustainable corporate social responsibility programs. The Subroto Award, presented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), is the highest recognition in the energy and mineral resources sector, given to stakeholders who have demonstrated exceptional performance in advancing Indonesia’s energy and mineral resources sector.
