On Friday, December 13, 2024, Agincourt Resources shared motivation with teachers and students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendekia (IC) Tapanuli Selatan. The event featured Rahmat Lubis, General Manager Operations & Deputy Director Operations of Agincourt Resources, as the keynote speaker.
During the session, Rahmat Lubis shared his life journey, filled with challenges. “I come from a modest family with parents who were farmers. Since childhood, I have strived to excel, from elementary school to high school, always ranking at the top of my class. In 1995, I was accepted as part of the first cohort at SMA Negeri 2 Plus Sipirok. Despite financial hardships that made it difficult to pursue higher education, I was fortunate to receive support from the Governor of North Sumatra, Raja Inal Siregar, which allowed me to continue my studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB),” he said.
Rahmat further elaborated on his diverse career journey, including his experiences working abroad. “Despite the various difficulties I faced, I continued to persevere and work hard. I have worked for multiple companies, including overseas. However, at one point, my mother asked me to return to Tapanuli Selatan and apply for a position at Agincourt Resources. Today, I have the privilege of leading this company as the General Manager Operations & Deputy Director Operations,” he shared.

The Principal of MAN Insan Cendekia Tapanuli Selatan, Abdul Hakim Siregar, emphasized the importance of such events in inspiring and motivating students. “We always strive to provide the best for our students, including inviting inspirational figures from various fields. One of the students, Junita Rizkito Sari Siregar, expressed how inspired she felt after hearing Rahmat Lubis’s life story. “I feel truly inspired after listening to Mr. Rahmat’s story. His message was clear: we must choose a skill that can lead us to success in the future. This has broadened our perspective, making us realize that every step we take today will shape our future,” she said enthusiastically.
