This position is located at the Martabe Site within the MPDE Department and reports directly to the Senior Engineer – Civil & Structural.
The role of the Engineer / Supervisor – Civil & Structural:
- To supervise civil engineering activities and on design to ensure construction works are carried out as per program within safety and quality guidelines
- To develop & communicate project designs, schedules, cost, results and recommended improvements effectively to be successfully implemented in the field with the support of project management
- Look after day-to-day construction teams and maintain performance related to the scope of works.
- To enforce safe and environmentally friendly working procedures to ensure an excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters to comply with statutory requirements and HSE expectatio.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Diploma in civil / structural engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum 5-year experiences in civil/construction mineral mine site
- Basic computer operation – MS Office packages
- Intermediate skills on Civil/Construction cost planning, cost estimating and analysis
- Intermediate knowledge of Civil/Construction software/hardware skills
- Industry best practice
- Basic knowledge of OHS&E
- Have extensive on-site experience performing construction, road or civil projects
