From Aek Sirara to dozens of other villages, essential aid packages were distributed to help residents resume their daily activities.

This support was warmly welcomed by the communities as they work to recover from difficult circumstances. The spirit of mutual cooperation among residents, volunteers, and the emergency response teams has become a driving force in rebuilding lives and restoring normalcy after the disaster.

Opening Roads, Restoring Hope

In the midst of a disaster, every second counts.

The flash floods and landslides did not only destroy homes—they cut off essential access, separated families, and hindered the delivery of aid. When everything seemed to come to a halt, the heavy equipment of Agincourt Resources became a moving source of hope. Working tirelessly through difficult terrain, it reopened rescue routes and ensured that evacuations and aid distribution could continue.

It was not merely about shifting debris, but about restoring the chance for communities to reach safety, delivering vital supplies, and bringing back a sense of security to those affected. From repairing collapsed roads to constructing temporary bridges, every structure built represents a life protected, and every route reopened is hope revived.

Our deepest appreciation goes to all teams on the ground—ERT, volunteers, authorities, and community members—who have worked side by side, day and night.
We remain committed to supporting the recovery process until life returns to normal.

Restoring Road Access to Reconnect Hope

Following the floods and landslides in Muara Batang Toru Sub-district, major access roads were obstructed by debris, while several sections suffered severe erosion. These conditions significantly disrupted community mobility and the flow of essential supplies to impacted areas.

As part of our rapid response, Agincourt Resources, in partnership with PT Macmahon Mining Services (MMS), deployed teams to accelerate the restoration of critical access routes.

Efforts include clearing blocked roads, removing landslide material, and reinforcing collapsed road sections using heavy machinery such as excavators. These actions have enabled emergency services and logistical support to resume more effectively, helping communities return to safe and stable daily activities.

Bringing Aid Closer, Strengthening Community Resilience

As part of the rapid response to floods and landslides in Batang Toru and surrounding areas, Agincourt Resources established the Garoga Disaster Response and Health Post to reach communities with limited accessibility. This post serves as a crucial service point, offering immediate medical care and distributing essential relief supplies.

To expand coverage, additional posts were set up at Balai Marguna, the Batang Toru Sub-district Office, and the HKBP Wek II Community Hall in Pasar Batang Toru. These efforts reflect Agincourt Resources’ commitment to ensuring aid is delivered swiftly, accurately, and accessibly—supporting a more effective and timely recovery for affected communities.

Opening Roads, Rekindling Hope — ERT as a Pioneer on the Frontline

In the aftermath of the floods and landslides in Muara Batang Toru, road access in several areas was buried under debris, while other sections collapsed entirely. These disruptions hindered both community movement and the distribution of emergency supplies.

Together with PT Macmahon Mining Services (MMS), Agincourt Resources immediately deployed its ERT to reopen roads, clear landslide material, and stabilize damaged road sections using heavy equipment. These vital interventions have helped restore emergency access and ensure aid can reach those who need it most, allowing communities to gradually resume daily activities safely.

Strengthening Solidarity in Action for Recovery

Amid the devastating floods and landslides that have struck South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, Sibolga, and Padangsidimpuan, solidarity and collective action have become the driving force that enables communities to rise together.

As part of the community in these affected regions, Agincourt Resources has mobilized rapid and concrete on-ground efforts to support recovery.

Immediate Actions Taken

  • Clearing landslide debris together with PT Macmahon Mining Services to open evacuation routes and restore access for aid distribution.
  • Establishment of Health and Logistics Posts at Batu Hula Village; Sumuran Village (near the Village Office); Sopo Daganak; Marguna Hall; the HKBP Church Multipurpose Hall; Garoga Village; and Batang Toru Community Health Center (Puskesmas).

  • Delivering assistance to evacuees hosted at HKBP Batang Toru, supporting 50 affected families.
  • Conducting air-drop distribution to isolated areas, including delivering aid to Mabang Pasir Muara Hutaraja.

These initiatives reflect our commitment to ensuring that emergency support reaches communities swiftly, accurately, and responsibly.
