This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the MPDS Department and will report directly to the Manager – Study & Development.
The Engineer – Water Management & Green Energy will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with the water management aspects of mine development, particularly in areas related to water quality and treatment to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of green energy initiatives.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Strong understanding of chemical reactions, particularly in the context of Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) mitigation.
- Knowledge of water management concepts and renewable energy applications.
- Familiarity with Martabe Mine and its project development scope.
- Proficient in report writing.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
