SUPERINTENDENT – GRADE CONTROL OPERATION (MG 2503020)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the Mine Geology Department and will report directly to the
Manager – Mine Geology.
The role of the Superintendent – Grade Control Operation is to responsible for supporting the Mine Geology and PTAR
management teams with their policies and instructions. This will ensure that the Company’s Mine Geology programs are
developed and implemented with a high level of quality technical input, in a practical and cost effective manner within the
guidelines of industry best practice for Health, Safety, Environment and Community Relations.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in geology is preferable but not limited to.
  2. Proven experience and strong technical skills in Mine Geology and Mining Operations – Minimum of 10 Years.
  3. Good experience in supervising drill programs; both in Diamond and RC drilling.
  4. Good knowledge in QAQC practices, either in sampling, drilling activity and data collection.
  5. Minimum hold a Certificate of Pengawas Operational Pertama (POP).
  6. An awareness of safety strategies
  7. Strong financial understanding for capital and operating budget preparation
  8. Knowing about JORC / KCMI codes and resources/reserve modelling and estimation procedures.
  9. Must have SIM A and company licensed driver to operate vehicle in pits, ROM pad, Stockpiles and Waste Dump area.
  10. Team management experience and Excellent leadership skills
  11. Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.
  12. Solid technical report writing and IT literacy
  13. Well-developed analytical skills.
  14. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including preparing management reports and other
    documentation.
  15. Acts with integrity and is trustworthy with confidential information
  16. Self-directed to achieve individual, team and organizational goals
  17. Ability to interact with other project disciplines to provide technical team with information relevant to those disciplines,
    especially to support a grade control – technical team.
