This position is based at the Martabe Site within the OH&S Department and reports directly to the Supervisor – ERT.
The ERT Member is responsible for handling emergency situations at the Martabe Site, including the following duties:
- Act as a rescuer during emergency situations and casualty incidents at the Martabe Site.
- Act as a firefighter in responding to fires and wildfire incidents at the Martabe Site.
- Conduct regular inspection to fire extinguishers, Hydrants, and smoke detectors in Martabe area as per scheduled.
- Standby at critical activities when required as per risk assessment.
- Follow emergency response procedures during critical situations.
- Good teamwork and friendship.
- Always keep in shape and be ready to respond to emergency situations.
- Initiative and high loyalty.
- Perform all activities in accordance with mining safety procedures and PTAR standards.
- Be prepared to participate in humanitarian rescue missions and disaster preparedness programmes in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
- Ready to be assigned as a rescue team for competitions both on a local and national scale.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Graduated from Senior High School (SMA), preferably with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Health, or a Diploma qualification in a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in the mining industry as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member or volunteer.
- Familiarity with emergency response operations, firefighting, and casualty rescue procedures.
- Willing to participate in training programmes, drills, and emergency response simulations in accordance with management-approved training plans and predetermined scenarios.
- Competency and certification in emergency response disciplines, such as First Aid, Firefighting, Confined Space Rescue, High Angle Rescue, and Emergency Response Diving, will be an advantage.
