This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Facilities & Services Department, with direct reporting to the Senior Supervisor – Camp and Catering.
The role of the Field Technician 1 – Camp & Kitchen is to:
- Conduct maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Provide general support for camp operations, including moving and installing furniture, organizing storage areas, and maintaining tidiness in camp service facilities.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair the camp’s cable TV system.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
- Graduate from a Vocational School in Electronics or Mechatronics with at least 8 years of experience in electronic equipment maintenance and repair.
- Solid understanding of kitchen appliance systems and proven ability to diagnose and repair faults.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in electronic appliance repair.
- Strong knowledge of TV cable engineering and system maintenance.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness and dedication to perform on-call duties 24/7 when required.
Prior experience in a mining site environment is highly desirable.
