The selected candidate will be based at the Martabe Site within the Processing (Metallurgy) Department and will report directly to the Plant Metallurgist.
This program is designed to develop recent graduates into metallurgists, providing exposure to plant operations and issues, conducting lab tests, and participating in daily activities as part of their professional growth. The role is essential in supporting both the metallurgy and operations teams by offering technical assistance to optimize plant productivity. Additionally, the candidate will participate in internal projects aimed at enhancing plant performance.
Key responsibilities include assisting the data entry clerk in compiling metallurgy reports (daily, weekly, and monthly), handling bullion weighing in the gold room, managing shipment preparations from the site to the refinery, and performing related tasks.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering.
- Indonesian citizen, with a bachelor’s degree aged 18-25 years, or Master’s/Post-Graduate Degree aged 24-28 years at the time of enrolment.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic knowledge of CIL/CIP gold processing.
- Familiarity with the tools, materials, and technology used in mineral processing.
- Comprehensive understanding of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions efficiently.
- An understanding of the production flow of a CIL Process Plant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet applications.
- Full-time commitment to the program, including signing a Development Agreement and willingness to be based on-site under a roster schedule.
