GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – MINING (GDP – MIN02)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the Mining Department, with direct reporting to the Engineer – Short Term Mine Planning. 

The Graduate Development Program – Mining (MIN02) is to: 

  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly mine plans aligned with production targets, equipment availability, and ore quality requirements. 
  • Assist in designing pit sequences, dumping locations, and stockpiles related to short-term mine planning to ensure alignment with medium- and long-term mine planning. 
  • Assist in clearly communicating and coordinating mine plans with all production-related departments, such as Mine Operations, Survey, Geotechnical & Hydrogeology, Mine Geology, Processing, Mine Project, and contractors. 
  • Assist in monitoring actual performance against plans, and providing variance analysis, improvement plans, and operational recommendations. 
  • Assist in supporting operational activities to manage daily challenges and adjust plans as needed in the field. 
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with pit design parameters and geotechnical constraints. 
  • Assist in comparing planned and actual production (tonnage, grade, and location) to identify any deviations. 
  • Assist the Mine Engineer in preparing daily and weekly reports. 
  • Assist the Mine Engineer in ensuring that all short-term mine planning complies with safety, geotechnical, and environmental standards, particularly those referring to the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 1827.K/30/MEM/2018 and the principles of good mining practice. 

Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria: 

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering with minimum GPA 3.00. 
  1. English language proficiency (supported by appropriate documents/certificates, for example, TOEFL: 400 or IELTS: 4.0). 
  1. Desirable Master’s degree in Mine Engineering, have Driver’s License (SIM A), and POP Certification. 
  1. Good knowledge of Fleet Management Systems. 
  1. Have attended workshops related to Fleet Management Systems.
