Sharing Motivation for Martabe Prestasi Scholarship Recipients

To become an agent of change or a great leader, a person must have big clear dreams, must know and be able to overcome the challenges he faces, must start from himself, have a growth mindset, have a support system, and try his best. This was conveyed by Robinson Sinurat, founder of the Yayasan Mimpi Besar Indonesia, who was a guest speaker at the Sharing Motivation event for recipients of the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship on Tuesday, December 27 2022. 

The event, which was held virtually by PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) through the Community Development Department through the Zoom application, had the theme Build Your Character to be a Great Leader. 

The event opened with an introduction to the new management of Martabe Prestasi Scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 period by MC Fitri Ritonga and continued with remarks from the General Coordinator of Martabe Prestasi Scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 period Imam Yahdi Harahap, remarks from the General Coordinator of Martabe Prestasi for the 2021-2022 period Siti Wahyuni ​​Panjaitan, and remarks from PTAR Superintendent Achievement Superintendent Community Service Scholarship supervisor Yayan Nuryawan. 

Obin, Robinson Sinurat’s nickname, who is also a recipient of an LPDP scholarship for the Master of Science in Social Work program at Columbia University and also a Fellowship Program scholarship winner at several universities abroad, also said that being a student is not only enough to study in class, but also learn to organize. Economic limitations are also not a reason for not being able to continue their education, because there are many opportunities that can be obtained, one of which is through scholarships. 

“We have to stop comparing ourselves to others. We know ourselves best. So, ask ourselves where are our abilities, where are our desires, and what are we going to do,” concluded Obin.
