Agincourt Resources Contributed 875 Plant Seeds to Commemorate Environment Day 2023 in South Tapanuli

The Government of South Tapanuli Regency organized a commemoration event for Environment Day (HLH) 2023 on the 13th and 14th of June 2023 at the Sipirok Botanical Garden Scenic Tower in South Tapanuli Regency. PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) made a valuable contribution to this event by donating 875 plant seeds, with most of them allocated for the Climate Village Program (Proklim) implemented by the South Tapanuli Environment Agency to support assisted villages. The commemoration event saw the participation of over 100 individuals, including members of the South Tapanuli Regency Government, local companies, Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs), elementary and junior high schools, youth organizations dedicated to environmental causes, invited guests, and the general public.  

The opening ceremony of HLH 2023 in Sipirok commenced with a collective planting of the donated plant seeds. Hari Ananto, the Senior Manager of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) of PTAR, was present at the event and delivered remarks on behalf of the PTAR Management. On the following day, the 14th of June 2023, Rahmat Lubis, General Manager of Operations at PTAR, participated as one of the speakers in the environmental talk show titled “Beat Plastic Pollution.” During the talk show, Rahmat Lubis not only elaborated on various environmental management programs and initiatives are undertaken by both within and beyond the boundaries of the Martabe Gold Mine area but also highlighted PTAR’s consistent commitment to making a positive impact on the surrounding community, exemplified by initiatives like the Martabe Prestasi Scholarship. The talk show featured other distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Zulkifli Nasution, M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Saharman Gea, M.Sc., as well as representatives from several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other companies operating in South Tapanuli
