On Thursday, June 15, 2023, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) signed a cooperation agreement with the Agricultural Vocational Education Quality Assurance Development Center (BBPPMPV) for Agriculture. The agreement aims to enhance the development of integrated Agricultural Vocational Schools, specifically SMK Negeri 1 Batangtoru and SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batangtoru. The signing took place at the Dewi Sartika Building, Agricultural BBPPMPV, in Cianjur, West Java.
In attendance during the signing ceremony was Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati M.Sc., the Director General of Vocational Education from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemenristek), who expressed deep appreciation and gratitude towards PTAR for their active engagement in advancing education, particularly within Vocational Schools. She emphasized the urgent need for private sector participation to support vocational education in Indonesia.
Dr. Yusuf, MT, the Head of Agricultural BBPPMPV, stated that this collaboration marked the second year of partnership with PTAR for the agricultural SMK development program. The focus of this year’s development program is on establishing teaching factories and enhancing the competence of productive teachers. Noviandri, the Director and Chief Financial Officer of PTAR, highlighted that the SMK development program signifies the company’s commitment and corporate social responsibility through the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program, in education sector. More than 100 individuals attended the signing ceremony, including representatives from PTAR’s management, such as Christine Pepah, the Community Senior Manager, and Rohani Simbolon, the Community Development Manager. Officials from the North Sumatra Education Agency, Regional XI Education Office Branch, as well as SMK Negeri 1 Batangtoru and SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batangtoru were also present
