Batangtoru, 30 June 2023 – PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), the operator of Martabe Gold Mine, signed a cooperation agreement for the Integrated Agricultural Vocational High School (SMK) Development Program with the Center for Agricultural Vocational Education Quality Assurance Development (BBPPMPV), on Thursday (15/06) at Dewi Sartika Building, Cianjur Agricultural BBPPMPV, West Java, witnessed by the Director General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemenristek) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati M.Sc.
This cooperation agreement aims to develop an integrated agricultural SMK, namely SMK Negeri 1 Batangtoru and SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batangtoru, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra.
Director and Chief Financial Officer of PTAR, Noviandri said SMKdevelopment program is a form of commitment and corporate social responsibility through Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program in the education sector.
“Hopefully, this collaboration and partnership with Agricultural BBPPMPV will improve the educational capacity of SMK Negeri 1 Batangtoru and SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batangtoru to produce quality graduates in agriculture around the mining operational area,” explained Noviandri.
Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati M.Sc. expressed herappreciation and gratitude for the efforts made by PTAR for playing an active role in advancing education, especially in Vocational High Schools.
“Thank you PTAR for your efforts in advancing education in Indonesia. The role of private party is urgently needed to support vocational education in Indonesia,” said Kiki.

Meanwhile, Head of AgriculturalBBPPMPV Dr. Yusuf, MT stated, this is the second year of cooperation with PTAR for Agricultural SMKdevelopment program. The focus of this year’s development is teaching factory and improving the competence of productive teachers.
Meanwhile, the majors of collaboration in this program are Plantation Plant Agribusiness (ATP), Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness (ATPH), and Agricultural Product Processing Agribusiness (APHP).
The signing of this cooperation was witnessed by more than 100 people.PTAR Management representatives were also present, namely Community Senior Manager Christine Pepah and Community Development Manager Rohani Simbolon, representatives of the North Sumatra Education Office, Region XI Education Office Branch, as well as SMK Negeri 1 Batangtoru and SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batangtoru.
