20 Welders from Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Sub-Districts Achieved Level 3G Professional Certification

Following a rigorous 32-day training program in SMAW 3G Plate Welding, 20 skilled welders representing 15 villages in Batangtoru and Muara Batangtoru Sub-Districts have successfully attained a coveted 3G level certification in welding. PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) collaborated with the South Tapanuli Manpower Service, employing the expertise of the South Tapanuli Job Training Center (BLK) Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) and the North Sumatra Professional Certification Institute (LSP) as instructors and competency examiners to facilitate this training initiative.

The official closure of the training program took place on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the South Tapanuli BLK Building. The event was graced by the presence of Head of the South Tapanuli Manpower Service, Ahmad Raja Nasution, who expressed his pride and gratitude for PTAR’s collaborative efforts with various stakeholders in organizing this training. He emphasized the potential of such initiatives in enhancing participants’ skills, making them more competitive in the welding industry and ultimately reducing unemployment rates. Nasution voiced his hope for the continuation of such training programs, with an expanded reach to benefit more individuals in South Tapanuli.  

The training’s closing ceremony was also honored by the presence of South Tapanuli Regent, Dolly Putra Parlindungan Pasaribu, who encouraged the participants to persistently refine their skills. He emphasized the importance of utilizing their certifications and competencies to enhance their quality of life and contribute positively to their communities.  

PTAR’s Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, congratulated the 20 graduates, highlighting that the content of the SMAW 3G plate welder training program met the rigorous standards set by companies. She expressed her hope that the skills acquired during the training would not only be beneficial for the participants but also contribute significantly to the objectives of the Community Empowerment Development Program (PPM). This initiative aims to elevate the Human Development Index in South Tapanuli by fostering skill development and empowerment within the local community.
