To increase capacity and knowledge regarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) invited two instructors from the Center for Standardization and Services for the Handicraft and Batik Industry, Yogyakarta, Isnaini and Zohanto Widyantoko to provide training and technical guidance in terms of Property Rights Intellectuals, especially Copyright of Batik Motifs and Brands.
A total of 5 members of the Batik Tapanuli Selatan Business Group took part in IPR and quality management training in accordance with National Standardization Body (BSN) Regulation No. 10 of 2019 concerning Conformity Assessment Schemes against Indonesian National Standards in the Textile and Clothing Product Sector.
The training, which was located at the Tapsel Batik Production House, Kampung Pasir, Aek Pining Village, Batangtoru Sub-District, lasted for 5 days, from September 25 to 29, 2023 and was attended by 5 members of the Tapsel Batik KUB.
At the beginning of the training, the instructors provided a theoretical explanation about IPR and quality management in accordance with BSN regulation No. 10 of 2019, and how to submit the documents required. Furthermore, the instructors provided technical assistance in preparing document requirements and facilitating the IPR registration process, especially batik motif copyright and standardization of quality management for the Tapsel Batik business.
Previously, KUB Batik Tapsel had registered eight Batik Industrial Design Rights. Five of them have been approved, while the other three are still in process.
