Eradicate Tuberculosis in South Tapanuli, Agincourt Resources Provided Health Equipment Assistance

To support the eradication of Tuberculosis (TB) in South Tapanuli, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) has handed over aid in the form of health service support equipment. This includes 1 binocular microscope, 1 refrigerator, and 1,000 Xpert MTB/RIF Ultra Assay Kit cartridges, which were presented to the Batangtoru and Hutaraja Community Health Centers. The aid was handed over on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Batangtoru Community Health Center. 

Previously, on November 16, 2023, at Hotel Hermes Palace, Medan, PTAR was invited by the North Sumatra Health Service to share best practices in the Best Collaboration and Partnership Program in the Tuberculosis (TB) Eradication Program with Local Governments in South Tapanuli Regency. The invitation was attended by representatives from the Health Service of 15 districts and 8 cities in North Sumatra, with a total of 200 attendees. In recognition of PTAR’s commitment and attention to the TB eradication program, on November 19, 2023, in commemoration of National Health Day, PTAR was invited to receive an award from the North Sumatra Health Service. The award was presented directly by the Head of the North Sumatra Health Service, dr. Alwi Mujahit Hasibuan, M.Kes, to the representative of PTAR’s Management, Finance Manager Dina Muharrimah.

PTAR’s Community Development Manager, Rohani Simbolon, stated that the provision of health equipment aid is also intended to support the Tuberculosis Elimination program in both subdistricts, known as ENTAS TB. This assistance is part of the Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM) in the field of public health.
