Martabe Gold Mine proudly presents a competition for journalists across Indonesia, namely the Journalism Articles Competition 2024.
Theme: “Implementation of ESG Aspects (Environment, Social & Governance) for Sustainable Mining”
Subthemes:
- Role of the Mining Sector in Decarbonization and Biodiversity Protection
- Collaboration between Mining Companies and Local Communities in Environmental Conservation
- Empowerment of the Local Economy around Mining Areas
- Contribution of the Mining Sector to the Advancement of Education and Public Health
Participant and Article Guidelines:
- Participants must be Indonesian citizens.
- Participants must be journalists or freelance journalists working in local, national, or foreign news media.
- Journalistic articles submitted to the competition (hereinafter referred to as articles) should be articles in Indonesian or English, in the form of soft news/feature or in-depth news.
- Articles must align with the theme and subthemes and should be related to PT Agincourt Resources, the operator of the Martabe Gold Mine.
- Articles must be original, owned by the author, and free from plagiarism.
- Participant’s articles must be original, not translations, adaptations, or summaries.
- Articles should be created and published in the media where the participant articles during the period from January 1, 2024, to April 30, 2024.
- The responsibility for the articles lies with the author. PT Agincourt Resources is released from any legal claims in the future from any party, including the owners of the objects mentioned in the article.
- Articles must adhere to social norms and should not contain elements of violence, politics, pornography, or go against ethnic, religious, racial, and intergroup (SARA) elements.
- Articles should not have been previously entered into any other competition.
- Participants can submit a maximum of three articles. Each work has an equal chance of winning.
Submission Procedure:
- Articles should be sent via email to [email protected] with the email subject: JOURNALISM ARTICLES COMPETITION 2024.
- Attach a scan or clipping of the published article in print media, including the date, page number, and media name, or provide the complete URL if published online.
- Attach a photo ID or a letter of endorsement from the editorial office.
- Attach a copy of the ID card (KTP).
- Include a mobile number that can be confirmed via WhatsApp.
- Journalistic articles to be entered into the competition must be received no later than April 30, 2024, at 23:59 WIB.
Other Informations:
- The announcement of winners will be made through the PT Agincourt Resources website and via email to each winner on May 11, 2024.
- Articles that do not meet the requirements will not be included in the judging.
- The decision of the jury is final and cannot be contested.
- If cheating is discovered, the organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants and articles that do not meet the competition’s criteria.

- Perspective of the writing and understanding of the issue
- Quality of the work and adherence to journalistic principles
