The Integrated Team Monitoring the Quality of Martabe Gold Mine’s Processed Water for the period 2021-2023 received support for capacity and self-competence enhancement through public speaking training from Friday to Monday, March 1-4, 2024, in Medan. This activity also served as a gathering and farewell event for the Integrated Team’s work period, which ended in December 2023. Present at this event were members of the Integrated Team representing 15 surrounding villages, the South Tapanuli Environmental Agency, and representatives from Agincourt Resources’ Government Relations, Community, and Environment Departments.

Agincourt Resources’ Superintendent of Community Relations, Sugeng Maskat, expressed that strengthening the capacity of the Integrated Team is expected to improve communication skills, particularly in disseminating information to the community not only regarding the process of monitoring the treatment of process waste water but also in training the ability to make persuasive presentations and overcome tensions when speaking in public.

“This activity is not only a farewell but also a gathering to strengthen the good relationship between the Integrated Team members and the Company. This training can also provide a lot of input for the Company regarding operations.”
