Agincourt Resources Shared UMKM Development Best Practices at AHEMCE Public Contribution PIC

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Agincourt Resources Community Development Manager Rohani Simbolon shared best practices in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development field of the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program at the Person In Charge (PIC) AHEMCE Public Contribution event under the theme “Advancing Sustainable Practices: From Evaluation to Excellence”.

Rohani explained the company’s contributions to the local economic development sector, particularly MSME development, including cooperatives, culinary, Tapanuli Selatan batik fashion, handicrafts, and makeup and beauty. “The approach and formation strategy for fostered MSMEs uses clear indicators through mapping potential, competence, and market needs. We have implemented various development schemes, including technical and non-technical training, provision of equipment support, legality support, market access, and comparative studies to more advanced business locations.” In addition, best practices in several fostered UMKM examples were also presented, along with strategies for UMKM sustainability and independence.

The event also featured two other speakers, Joko Santoso from PT Pamapersada Nusantara on the environment and Idris Hadi Sikumbang from PT Patria Maritime Lines on safety. The event was opened by Corporate Secretary of PT United Tractors Tbk. Sara K. Loebis, and attended by around 95 participants from the AHEMCE group.
