10,000 Red Chili Seedlings Boost South Tapanuli Agriculture

Jul 24, 2024

To support local agricultural development and improve community welfare, Agincourt Resources held the groundbreaking ceremony for the planting of 10,000 chili pepper seedlings in Muara Hutaraja Village, Muara Batang Toru District, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. This initiative is part of the Company’s ongoing Community Development and Empowerment program. The collaboration between the Tapanuli Selatan Regency Government and young, entrepreneurial farmers was key to the success of this event. A 5,000 square meter plot of land has been prepared to serve as a fertile field for chili pepper plants, which have high economic potential.

Community Development Manager at Agincourt Resources, Rohani Simbolon, expressed her optimism regarding the program’s positive impact. “We are not only providing seedlings and land but are also committed to supporting farmers in adopting modern agricultural technologies. The goal is to enable them to significantly increase their productivity and harvest quality. We hope that this program can serve as a prime example of how the Company can contribute to rural development,” she stated.
