Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with PT United Tractors Tbk. (UT) School, has conducted a preventive maintenance training program for 12 productive teachers in the Heavy Equipment Engineering (TAB) department at SMK Negeri 2 Batang Toru. The five-day training, held from August 12 to 16, 2024, aimed to equip the teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out regular maintenance of heavy equipment.
This preventive maintenance training is one of the efforts to enhance the quality of vocational education, particularly in the field of heavy equipment engineering. With a better understanding of the subject matter, the teachers are expected to be able to transfer their knowledge to the students, thus producing graduates who are competent and ready for the workforce.

During the training, the teachers were provided with comprehensive materials, ranging from product knowledge and periodic inspections, to routine maintenance, hydraulic control systems, and an understanding of heavy equipment components. In addition to classroom sessions, the teachers were also given the opportunity to conduct hands-on practice in the field to gain a deeper understanding of the operating systems of heavy equipment, especially excavators. This was intended to enable the teachers to have a more in-depth understanding of the operating systems of heavy equipment and to apply the theories they had learned. The principal of SMK Negeri 2 Batang Toru, Erikson Sihombing, welcomed the training program. ‘We are very grateful to Agincourt Resources and UT School for their support in improving the quality of education at our school. This training is very beneficial for the teachers and will have a positive impact on improving the competence of our graduates,” he said.
