Aug 31, 2024

A series of eye examinations and free cataract surgeries organized by the Martabe Gold Mine under the theme “Open Your Eyes, See the Beauty of the World” in Pematang Siantar, held from August 27-31, 2024, has successfully restored the vision of 327 eyes from 321 patients.

Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Agincourt Resources, Katarina Siburian Hardono, stated that Pematang Siantar is the second location after Batang Toru. “Previously, in Batang Toru, the Martabe Gold Mine’s free cataract surgery program had restored 1,004 eyes out of a total target of 1,300 eyes. However, due to the high enthusiasm of the community, we have increased the target to 1,500 eyes until the program concludes in Medan,” said Katarina.
