Young Batang Toru Karatekas Shine at Regional Championship, Bringing Home 13 Medals

Young karate athletes supported by Agincourt Resources proudly represented Batang Toru at the North Sumatra Regional Championship of the National Karate-Do Institute (Inkanas), held from Friday to Sunday, August 30 – September 1, 2024, at MUMA Indonesia, Medan. These athletes achieved outstanding success, winning a total of 13 medals, consisting of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze. 

The participation of these young Batang Toru karatekas in the championship reflects Agincourt Resources’ commitment to developing human resources in the area surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine. Intensive karate training was provided to the athletes, aimed at enhancing their skills, mental strength, and confidence to compete at higher levels. 

Senpai Nofrinald and GR Harahap, the two coaches who accompanied the athletes, expressed their pride in the achievements. “We are very grateful for the support from Agincourt Resources. This success is the result of the hard work of both the athletes and coaches. We hope this accomplishment will motivate other karate athletes to continue training and striving for excellence,” said Senpai Nofrinald.
