Sep 10, 2024

Agincourt Resources held a photography skills training program aimed at enhancing the talents of local youth. The six-day training, which took place from Thursday to Tuesday, September 5-10, 2024, was attended by 14 participants from Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru Districts.

Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources, Rohani Simbolon, highlighted in her opening remarks that the main objective of the training was to improve participants’ knowledge and skills in photography, as well as to create new job opportunities. With the growing creative industry, particularly in photography, these skills are expected to provide participants with the tools to start their own businesses or find employment in photography-related fields.

During the training, participants were taught various basic photography techniques, including camera settings, photo composition, and lighting. These lessons were delivered by experienced photography experts: Ferdy Siregar from Imaji Pertiwi Medan, Bulya Aidil Mulkan Nasution from Klophouse Photography, and Hari Hasibuan from Dua Empat Fotoworks Padangsidempuan.

In addition to theoretical lessons, participants were given the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice. Under the guidance of the instructors, they learned how to take photos using different techniques and camera types. To support the practical sessions, the training collaborated with a Wedding Organizer (WO) group supported by Agincourt Resources, providing models, makeup artists, and costumes for pre-wedding and wedding photoshoots.
