30 Millennial Farmers from South Tapanuli Trained to Become Skilled Agriculturists

Agincourt Resources organized a training program at the Self-Reliant Agricultural and Rural Training Center (P4S) for 30 Millennial Farmer Actors (PAM). The training took place at the Syakirah The View Hall, Aek Sabaon, South Tapanuli, from Wednesday to Tuesday, October 9-15, 2024. The goal is to establish P4S as a training hub for young farmers, enhancing their competitiveness and readiness to face global challenges. 

Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources, emphasized the significance of the P4S program as a platform to improve the skills of young farmers. “Through this program, we aim to enhance the farmers’ abilities, thereby increasing the income of P4S PAM in South Tapanuli Regency,” she said.

This initiative represents a strategic effort by Agincourt Resources to empower millennial farmers and advance the agricultural sector in South Tapanuli. With the formation of P4S PAM, it is hoped that a new generation of innovative young farmers will emerge, ready to take local agriculture to a higher level. 

The Chairman of South Tapanuli Millennial Farmer Actors, Heri Sholat Sihombing, expressed his gratitude to Agincourt Resources for supporting the development of PAM in South Tapanuli. “Hopefully, this program will produce future P4S facilitators who will educate the community on farming techniques and post-harvest processing.” 

Chairul Rizal Lubis, Head of the Regional Planning and Development Agency (Bappeda) of South Tapanuli, gave high praise to the company for its full support in improving the human resources of millennial farmers. “The future of farming will involve farmers who master the modernization of agricultural equipment. The activities carried out by PAM represent work that is expected to grow and develop in the future.”
