JOURNALISTIC WRITING COMPETITION 2025
Agincourt Resources, the operator of the Martabe Gold Mine, once again holds a competition for journalists across Indonesia the Journalistic Writing Competition 2025.
Theme:
“ESG in Action: Sustainable Mining Toward Community and Environmental Harmony”
Optional Subthemes:
- Conservation and Biodiversity
Highlight stories about mining company initiatives in conservation, water management, and biodiversity protection both within and outside operational areas. - Green Innovation in Mining
Explore how mining companies implement environmentally friendly operational practices, such as the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and tailings management. - Improving Quality of Life
Focus on the mining company’s contributions to expanding access to education and skills for children, women, and youth, as well as enhancing healthcare services for surrounding communities. - Building the Local Economy
Emphasize collaboration between mining companies and local communities to create sustainable business opportunities, strengthen local business capacity, and promote economic independence around operational areas.
Participant and Works Requirements:

Participants must be Indonesian citizens.

Participants must be journalists or freelance journalists working for local, national, or international online and print media.

Journalistic works submitted to the competition (hereinafter referred to as “works”) must be articles in either Indonesian or English, in the form of soft news/feature or in-depth news.

Works must align with the theme and subthemes and be related to Agincourt Resources, the operator of the Martabe Gold Mine.

Works must be original and not contain any elements of plagiarism.

Works must be the participant’s own creation and not translations, adaptations, or summaries.

Works must have been created and published in the participant’s online or print media from May 27 to November 13, 2025.

Works are the responsibility of the author. Agincourt Resources is exempt from any legal claims in the future from any party, including owners of subjects featured in the articles.

Works must comply with social norms and must not contain elements of violence, politics, pornography, or content that conflicts with ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA).

References or sources must be cited when mentioning data and facts.

Works must not have been previously submitted to other competitions and must not be currently participating in other competitions.

Participants may submit a maximum of three works, with each work having an equal chance of winning.
Hot to Submit Works:
- Works must be sent via email to [email protected] with the subject line: JOURNALISTIC WRITING COMPETITION 2025.
- Attach a clipping of the work being submitted in PDF format, whether published in print or online media.
- Include the following information in the body of the email: full name; media name; title of the article; publication date; URL (for online media) or page number (for print media); and a phone number that can be verified via WhatsApp.
- Attach a Press ID photo or a letter of introduction from the editorial office.
- Attach a copy of your ID card.
- Journalistic works must be submitted no later than November 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Others:
- Winners will be announced on the PT Agincourt Resources website as well as via email and WhatsApp to each winner.
- Works that do not meet the requirements will not be included in the judging process.
- The decision of the judging panel is final and cannot be contested.
- If any fraud is detected, the committee reserves the right to disqualify participants and works that do not comply with the competition’s terms and conditions.
