At SMK Negeri 1 Batang Toru, students demonstrated their ability to build hydroponic installations as sustainable and efficient cultivation media. They also showcased their flagship local food and beverage products, such as salak chips, spinach chips, celery vegetables, various breads, and soy sauce.

“We’ve harvested several times from our plants and usually sell them to the local community and market vendors. This has motivated me to pursue farming as a career, and I’m determined to become a successful farmer,” said Mai Ardiansyah Purba, a student from SMK Negeri 1 Muara Batang Toru.

Agincourt Resources’ Manager of Community Development, Rohani Simbolon, highlighted that this was the third such exhibition organized in collaboration with the Center for Vocational Education Development and Quality Assurance (BBPPMPV) in Cianjur and their partnered schools.

“This collaboration has been ongoing for approximately three years, during which SMK Negeri 1 Batang Toru has developed into a Center of Excellence (PK). Additionally, we have established a smart farming facility with a capacity of 5,000 planting holes for vegetables, which serves as a learning base for students and local farmers,” Rohani explained.
