On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Agincourt Resources held the Mamborgo-borgoi event on the grounds of Sopo Nauli, at the Martabe Gold Mine site. Mamborgo-borgoi is a traditional ceremony aimed at invoking safety and blessings for all Agincourt Resources employees and contractors on duty, as well as protection from all dangers through the Batak Angkola tradition.
The event was attended by Agincourt Resources’ Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Noviandri, Director of External Relations Sanny Tjan, General Manager Operations and Deputy Director Operations Rahmat Lubis, and Deputy General Manager Operations Wira Dharma Putra.
Mamborgo-borgoi 2025 was a celebration of gratitude for the company’s achievements in 2024 and a joint prayer for safety and blessings in 2025. The event also aimed to strengthen the bond between employees, the community, and the company. It became a symbol of unity, collective prayer, and thanksgiving to the Creator.

In his speech, Agincourt Resources’ Director and CFO Noviandri stated, “This event is a moment to strengthen the relationships between families, communities, and the company, ensuring harmony in our operations. The sustainability of the Martabe Gold Mine is inseparable from community support, and it is a trust that must be maintained and strengthened by involving the community in various programs, especially in the cultural, social aspects, and shared interests between the community and the company,” he explained.
Noviandri also emphasized the zero-accident work culture and the discipline of prioritizing safety in mining operations. He stated that each individual has the responsibility to ensure their own safety, as well as the safety of their coworkers and the surrounding environment. He also expressed the hope that this year would be a moment to increase the spirit of togetherness, maintain work safety, and strengthen synergy, so that the company and the community can achieve greater sustainability in the future.

Batang Toru Subdistrict Head Mara Tinggi Siregar, in his speech, welcomed the event by saying, “Welcome to Batang Toru with the slogan PANAS (Friendly) which stands for: P – Peduli (Care), Agincourt Resources cares for the community; A – Aman (Safe), the Batang Toru community prays for the safety of Agincourt Resources management in their work; N – Nyaman (Comfortable), with comfort, good production results can be achieved; A – Antusiaslah (Be Enthusiastic), work with professionalism; S – Sinergitas (Synergy), this is the collaboration between the community, government, and company.” He also added, “In Batang Toru, there is a special tradition when someone acquires a new vehicle or tool. Typically, water is sprinkled (mamispis) on the newly acquired item while expressing hopes for its durability and protection from damage. Additionally, an egg is broken during the ceremony as a symbolic act, believed to ward off any disturbances or misfortunes,” Mara Tinggi said.
Mamborgo-borgoi 2025 was also attended by members of the Batang Toru Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimca), including the Batang Toru Subdistrict Head, Batang Toru Police Chief, Batang Toru Military Command (Koramil), Chairman of the Batang Toru Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Chairman of the Forum for Communication of Customary Institutions (Forkala), Aek Pining Village Head, community leaders, and representatives from Agincourt Resources’ management from various departments.
