Fire Safety, Business Security, Agincourt Resources Provides MSMEs with Fire Safety Training

May 9, 2025

On Friday, 9 May 2025, Agincourt Resources conducted a fire safety training session for eight supported Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Batuhula Village, Batang Toru District. This initiative aimed to equip business owners with essential knowledge and practical skills to prevent and respond to fire incidents in their workplaces.

The intensive training was led by Misnan Arya Winata, Supervisor of the Emergency Response Team at Agincourt Resources. Prior to the training, a thorough inspection was carried out at each participant’s business premises, particularly the kitchen areas. This proactive step aimed to identify specific fire risks and tailor the training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness. The session covered topics such as the classification of different types of fires, proper usage of portable fire extinguishers (APAR), and simulations of early-stage fire response for small-scale incidents.

In response to the participants’ enthusiasm, Misnan stated, “At Agincourt Resources, our focus goes beyond supporting the economic growth of MSMEs—we are equally committed to the safety and sustainability of their businesses. Through this training, we hope these entrepreneurs are well-equipped to protect their assets and, more importantly, safeguard their own lives and those around them. Awareness and preparedness are the keys to preventing fire-related losses.”

Dewi Yanti Nasution, a tempe producer from Wek IV Village, shared her appreciation for the training. “This session opened our eyes to potential hazards we often overlook, such as hot oil or disorganized electrical wiring. Now, we feel more prepared because we understand the right steps to take if a fire occurs,” she remarked.
