Access to quality healthcare services remains a challenge for many communities, particularly in areas where access to healthcare facilities and specialist medical services is still limited. The availability of accessible healthcare services plays an important role in improving quality of life while ensuring that every individual receives proper and adequate medical care.
As part of its commitment to supporting improved public health in communities surrounding its operational area, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the South Tapanuli Health Office, organised a Free Health Check and Medical Treatment Social Programme through the Dokter Spesialis Masuk Desa initiative, which was held on 26th June 2026 at Muara Opu Auxiliary Health Centre, Muara Batang Toru.

The programme provided free medical consultation and treatment services delivered by three specialist doctors, including a Paediatric Specialist, an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist, and an Internal Medicine Specialist. The initiative was specifically designed to support communities in need of quality healthcare services without requiring them to travel long distances to healthcare facilities in urban areas. A total of 111 community members benefited from the programme, consisting of 37 paediatric patients, 11 obstetrics and gynaecology patients, and 63 internal medicine patients.

In addition to direct consultations and medical examinations by specialist doctors, community members also received various supporting healthcare services, including ultrasound examinations for pregnant women, ECG examinations, blood sugar checks, cholesterol screening, uric acid testing, as well as supplementary nutrition packages as part of efforts to support overall community health.
Deputy Regent of South Tapanuli, H. Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration that has helped bring healthcare services directly to communities with limited access to medical facilities.
“We highly appreciate Agincourt Resources for continuously demonstrating genuine care towards improving the quality of healthcare services for communities, particularly in remote areas such as Muara Opu Village. Collaboration between the Company and local government like this proves that strong partnerships can deliver direct benefits that are truly needed by the community.”
Meanwhile, Community Relations Manager of Agincourt Resources, Masdar Muda Hasibuan, emphasised that the programme reflects the Company’s commitment to ensuring its presence continues to create sustainable social impact for communities surrounding its operational area.
“For Agincourt Resources, the Company’s presence is not solely focused on operational activities, but also on how we can create meaningful contributions for surrounding communities. Through collaboration with the Health Office, we want to ensure that communities with limited access to healthcare services can still receive quality medical treatment that is easier to access.”
One of the programme beneficiaries, Merina Zebua, shared that the initiative provided significant support for residents, as they no longer needed to travel long distances to receive specialist medical treatment.
“We feel greatly helped by this free medical programme. Usually, we have to travel quite far to receive treatment from specialist doctors, but this time healthcare services were brought directly to our village. We truly hope programmes like this can continue because they provide tremendous benefits for our community.”
Through collaboration in the healthcare sector, Agincourt Resources continues to deliver Community Development and Empowerment Programmes that provide meaningful benefits while supporting improvements in the quality of life of communities surrounding its operational area. This initiative forms part of the Company’s commitment to growing together with communities through inclusive and sustainable social development.
