One year has been a valuable journey for the participants of the Basic Mechanic Course (BMC) Batch 2. Having completed the full training programme, they are now ready to bring the skills and experience they have gained into the workplace.
On 20 August 2026, the Basic Mechanic Course (BMC) Batch 2 officially concluded through a hybrid event, held online via Zoom and in person at the UT School Jakarta Office. The event was attended by Agincourt Resources Community Services Superintendent Yayan Nurywan, together with his team, representatives of UT School, and the participants.
Over approximately 12 months, the participants completed three stages of learning: Bintalsik for half a month, Incass Training for 3.5 months, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for eight months. The programme was designed to equip participants with fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
For Agincourt Resources, the programme forms part of its efforts to strengthen the capacity of local human resources in South Tapanuli Regency, particularly in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru Districts. The skills gained are expected to strengthen participants’ readiness while opening up broader opportunities for them to enter the workforce.
BMC Batch 2 follows the successful implementation of BMC Batch 1 in 2025, which was attended by 11 participants. All Batch 1 participants are reported to have secured employment after completing the training.
However, the journey to becoming a mechanic goes beyond technical skills. A willingness to keep learning, uphold professional ethics, and work professionally are equally important foundations for building a career.
This message was conveyed by UT School President Director Hamdan Aziz in his remarks. He emphasised that BMC is a foundational training programme in heavy equipment maintenance. Therefore, participants are encouraged to continue developing their capabilities and deepening their expertise after completing the programme.
One of the BMC Batch 2 participants, Bona Permana Siregar, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join the programme after successfully going through the selection process. For him, the experience gained throughout the training has provided valuable preparation for taking the next step.
Together with his fellow participants, Bona also expressed his commitment to upholding the good name of himself, Agincourt Resources, and UT School, while maintaining a professional attitude in the workplace.
The training may have come to an end, but learning never does. From Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru, the BMC Batch 2 participants now take their next steps, carrying with them skills, experience, and the determination to keep growing and build a brighter future.
