Posyandu cadres play an important role in bringing healthcare services closer to communities, including supporting the implementation of Integrasi Layanan Primer (ILP) at village level. Strengthening cadres’ capacity is an important step in enabling them to carry out their roles effectively, from monitoring to helping identify health conditions within the community.
On 24 August 2026, Agincourt Resources supported an activity to strengthen the Tugas Pokok dan Fungsi Kader Posyandu in the implementation of ILP at Puskesmas Batang Toru. The activity aimed to strengthen cadres’ understanding of their duties and roles in implementing ILP through Posyandu, as well as Pemantauan Wilayah Setempat (PWS) at village level.
A total of 74 participants attended the activity, comprising 13 village heads, 13 representatives of village PKK, 18 village midwives, 18 Posyandu cadres and 12 invited guests. The programme featured a presentation on ILP policy by the Health Office, along with a session by Agincourt Resources on cadres’ core duties and responsibilities. During the event, 77 health promotion flipcharts were also handed over for use at Posyandu centres across Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru.
Head of the South Tapanuli Health Office, Sri Khairunnisa, expressed her appreciation to Agincourt Resources for its support for healthcare programmes, particularly the implementation of ILP in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru. She emphasised that programme implementation would continue to be monitored by the Health Office together with Puskesmas. Support from village governments is also needed to enable cadres to carry out PWS and help map community health conditions in their respective villages.
Through PWS, health cadres are expected to help identify various health issues within the community and report their findings to Puskesmas. The results of this monitoring can then be followed up by the Puskesmas team as part of efforts to provide healthcare services to the community.
Camat Batang Toru, Mara Tinggi, also expressed support for implementation at village level. Each village head will issue an SK for cadres assigned to carry out PWS. Through this monitoring, community health conditions are expected to be mapped more effectively.
