Agincourt Resources once again conducted the release of fish fingerlings in Lubuk Larangan Satahi, Batu Hula Village, Batang Toru District, on August 6, 2024. A total of 300 kilograms of carp and 3,500 jurung fish fingerlings were released into the river. This activity demonstrates the company’s tangible commitment to supporting river ecosystem sustainability and enhancing the local economy.
Masdar Muda, the Manager of Community Relations at Agincourt Resources, stated that this activity is not merely ceremonial but a concrete step towards environmental conservation and increasing community income. “By preserving Lubuk Larangan, we not only conserve nature but also create new economic opportunities for the surrounding community,” said Masdar.
The river conservation efforts through Lubuk Larangan have received full support from the local government. Saiful AP Nasution, the Head of the Fisheries Department of South Tapanuli Regency, appreciated the concrete measures taken by Agincourt Resources. “The release of fish fingerlings is crucial for maintaining fish habitats in the river and increasing fish populations,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, M. Alinapia Nasution, the Head of Batu Hula Village, expressed gratitude for the support provided by Agincourt Resources. “We are committed to preserving the Lubuk Larangan River. Therefore, we have established village regulations imposing penalties on anyone who violates them, such as illegal fishing or damaging the river environment. Offenders will be fined Rp4.5 million,” Alinapia asserted.
The release of thousands of fish fingerlings is expected to increase the fish population in the Lubuk Larangan River. This will not only have a positive impact on the river ecosystem but also provide economic benefits to the surrounding community. Residents can utilize this fish resource to improve their family incomes.
