This position is based at the Martabe Site within the Mine Geology Department and will report directly to the Geologist – Mine Geology.
The Graduate Development Program – Mine Geology offers a hands-on opportunity to support geological development within the mining area and daily grade control activities. The selected candidate will assist in providing accurate geological field data for ore block design and will work closely with the geologist on various technical tasks, all under supervision.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology from an accredited university with a GPA > 3.0.
- Indonesian citizen. Age requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree: 18-25 years old
- Master’s/Postgraduate degree: 24-28 years old
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with preference for candidates having less than 2 years of experience in mine geology or mineral exploration.
- Proficient in geological mapping (essential) and familiar with hydrothermal mineral identification at a megascopic level (preferred).
- Willingness to work in the field and trainable for the role.
- Strong computer skills, with knowledge of 3D modelling, Microsoft applications, and/or Power BI considered an advantage.
- Good English communication and reporting skills, with a TOEFL score of 400 or higher preferred.
- Possession of a driver’s license is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site with a 4 weeks on/2 weeks off roster
