On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Agincourt Resources once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering the local community through the launch of a new gift center named Bagas Silua. Located at the entrance of the Martabe Gold Mine in Aek Pining Village, Batang Toru District, Bagas Silua serves as a platform for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to market their premium products.
The grand opening of Bagas Silua was conducted by Senior Manager Community Christine Pepah, Manager Human Resources Stanley Yohanes, Manager Public Relations Reni Radhan, along with the Secretary of the Tapanuli Selatan Trade and Cooperatives Office, Hotmatua Rambe, Batang Toru Subdistrict Head Mara Tinggi Siregar, and the Chairman of the Martabe Gold Mine Workers Union (SPTM), Suryadi. Besides being a center for marketing quality local products, Bagas Silua is also expected to become an attractive culinary tourism destination for visitors.
“We envision Bagas Silua as a comfortable place for people to enjoy the unique flavors of Batang Toru while supporting local MSMEs. We will continue to provide guidance and support to these MSMEs so that their products can become even more competitive in a wider market,” said Christine Pepah.
Hotmatua Rambe, Secretary of the South Tapanuli Trade and Cooperatives and MSMEs Agency, appreciated Agincourt Resources’ strategic efforts in supporting MSMEs. “We will continue to collaborate with Agincourt Resources to promote the products of MSMEs from Bagas Silua,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mara Tinggi Siregar, the District Head of Batang Toru, expressed his hope that Bagas Silua would become a community hub and a new attraction in Batang Toru. “I am confident that with the creativity and innovation of the management, Bagas Silua will thrive as a bustling culinary center,” he stated.
