Thousands of community members, employees of Agincourt Resources, and contractors gathered in a joyful atmosphere to celebrate Christmas together at the Martabe Gold Mine Terminal on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Under the theme, “Let Us Now Go to Bethlehem…”, the celebration served as a special moment to deepen the meaning of Christmas and strengthen bonds of fellowship.
In his sermon, Reverend Apron Stamril Marbun delivered a deeply moving message. Drawing inspiration from Luke 2:10-15, he emphasized that “God chooses the small to reveal the great.” This message invited all attendees to reflect on God’s immense love, manifested through the birth of Jesus Christ.
Sanny Tjan, Director of External Relations at Agincourt Resources, highlighted the event as an opportunity to reinforce bonds of fellowship and unity. Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru sub-districts are rich in diversity, with various ethnicities, religions, and cultures coexisting harmoniously. The presence of 50 churches serving more than 7,300 congregants in these areas is a testament to the interfaith harmony that exists.

The solemn celebration was enlivened by Praise Leader Ernst Evert De Fretes, musical accompaniment from The Fame Band, and a special performance by singer Putri Siagian. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and joy, strengthening the spirit of unity and fellowship in celebrating the birth of the Savior.
