Jakarta, February 28, 2025 – PT Agincourt Resources has once again received the 2024 Green Rating PROPER award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLH). This second award serves as recognition of the environmental efforts and innovations that have been implemented and have become an important part of the Company’s operations.
The Corporate Performance Rating Assessment Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) is an environmental performance assessment program provided by KLH to companies operating in Indonesia. The Green Rating in PROPER is awarded to companies that have exceeded compliance in environmental management by implementing environmental management systems, energy efficiency, emission reduction, and the development of innovative and sustainable community empowerment programs.
The Director of External Relations of Agincourt Resources, Sanny Tjan, said that the Green PROPER Award increasingly motivates the Company to continue innovating in implementing responsible industrial practices. The company will continue to enhance its positive contributions to the environment and society in order to maintain the Green rating and achieve a Gold rating.

Sustainability initiatives continue to be implemented so that the Company can achieve PROPER Green, namely energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction, water efficiency, reduction and utilization of hazardous and toxic waste (B3), biodiversity conservation, as well as Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) of non-B3 solid waste.
The Manager of Environmental of Agincourt Resources, Mahmud Subagya, explained that the company was able to optimize energy efficiency by up to 92,114 Gigajoules (GJ) and reduce emissions by up to 39,692 CO2e through several programs such as the installation of Slip Energy Recovery (SER) on velocity control, the installation of capacitor banks to improve reactive power at the plant, and the leveling of the slope of the haul road from the pit.
PTAR also successfully optimized water usage by 4,151,003 m3 through the utilization of wastewater from the Water Polishing Plant (WPP) for the production process and the use of processed water from the Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) for the production process.

“Our management of hazardous & toxic waste is realized through our commitment to compliance with proper practices and reinforced by implementing of various preventive measures, one of which is that all PTAR employees and partners adhere to the PTAR Waste Management Code of Practice,” said Mahmud.
In addition, non-hazardous & toxic waste was successfully recycled up to 165 tons. Mahmud explained that this achievement was realized through the implementation of the sawdust-incorporated soil method as a multi-layering topsoil reclamation, the application of a circular economy for plastic waste based on sociopreneurship, and the utilization of used pallets as raw materials for furniture in collaboration with the Sarop do Mulana Cooperative.
In the field of biodiversity conservation, PTAR implements several programs, including river revitalization through Lubuk Larangan in several villages in Batang Toru, collaboration on the conservation program of Macaca Sp, enrichment of Meranti Tembaga (Shorea leprosula) which is an endemic species with endangered status, and the preservation of the jurung fish (Neolissochilus Thienemanni) as an endemic species of South Tapanuli.
