Agincourt Resources organized the SMART (Smart Monitoring and Reporting Tool) Patrol training at the Barani Training Room, Martabe Gold Mine, from March 2 to 5, 2025. This program aimed to equip employees from the Environment Department, Scorpion Indonesia Foundation, and Ovata Indonesia Institute with the necessary skills to use the SMART application for field monitoring. The training featured Biodiversity Advisor Dr. Rondang E. Siregar, M.Phil., along with an instructor from the SMART consulting team, Lili Aries Sadikin. This initiative was driven by Agincourt Resources’ commitment to supporting natural resource conservation efforts, particularly in the Batang Toru region, by leveraging technology.

The SMART application is designed to efficiently manage data from conservation area patrols. This application is beneficial for monitoring conservation areas and forested regions surrounding the Martabe Gold Mine. One of its primary objectives is to map natural resources accurately and swiftly. Additionally, SMART enables early detection of potential conflicts in the field, allowing for prompt preventive actions. This training focused on the workflow of using the SMART application, covering data collection, result reporting, and report preparation. Participants demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm throughout the training, recognizing the ease of use and advantages offered by this application.
This initiative marks a concrete step by Agincourt Resources in supporting natural resource conservation, particularly in the Batang Toru region. By leveraging SMART Patrol technology, field monitoring is expected to become more effective and efficient.
