As a testament to its commitment to improving healthcare quality in rural areas, Agincourt Resources, in collaboration with the South Tapanuli District Health Office and the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of South Tapanuli, conducted a community service initiative titled Specialist Doctors Enter the Village. Held on Saturday, 26 April 2025, at the Simangambat Community Health Center in Saipar Dolok Hole Subdistrict, the event offered free medical consultations and treatments to residents across seven villages. The program aimed to provide direct access to specialist medical services for communities that are typically underserved and far from specialist care.
A total of 244 residents of Simangambat Village received free consultations and treatment from three medical specialists: obstetrician and gynecologist dr. Ryan Andrian, Sp.OG.; pediatrician dr. Syahreza, M.Ked (Ped), Sp.A.; and internist dr. Abdus Somad Harahap, Sp.PD.
Senior Manager Community of Agincourt Resources, Christine Pepah, emphasized that the success of the program was made possible through strong collaboration with the local government, particularly the South Tapanuli District Health Office and RSUD South Tapanuli. “This initiative is a reflection of our synergy with the Health Office and our shared commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to remote areas. We hope the residents of Simangambat Village truly benefit from this program,” stated Christine.
Deputy Regent of South Tapanuli, H. Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, also expressed his appreciation for the initiative. He commended Agincourt Resources for its dedication to public health. “We extend our sincere thanks to Agincourt Resources for their contribution and commitment to improving healthcare services, particularly for the people of Saipar Dolok Hole Subdistrict within the Simangambat Health Center’s service area. We hope collaborations like this continue and reach even more communities,” said Jafar.
Head of the Simangambat Community Health Center, Erwina Rafni Harahap, also expressed her gratitude. “This program has been a tremendous help. Many of our residents lack access to medical specialists, and this initiative provides an immediate solution to health issues commonly found in our village,” explained Erwina. Through this initiative, Agincourt Resources not only fulfills its corporate social responsibility but also reinforces its long-term commitment to public health development. The collaboration between the private and public sectors proves that equitable access to healthcare is not just an ideal, it is achievable through shared responsibility and meaningful cooperation.
