May 28, 2025

A total of 191 residents from Angkola Sangkunur District, South Tapanuli Regency, received free medical services through the Specialist Doctors Reach Villages program, organized by Agincourt Resources on Wednesday, 28 May 2025. Held at the Angkola Sangkunur Public Health Center (Puskesmas), the program provided direct consultations with three medical specialists: dr. Ryan Andrian, Sp.OG. (obstetrician-gynecologist), dr. Syahreza, M.Ked (Ped), Sp.A. (pediatrician), and dr. Abdus Somad Harahap, Sp.PD. (internal medicine). This initiative was made possible through collaboration between Agincourt Resources, the South Tapanuli Health Office, and RSUD South Tapanuli.

This program forms part of Agincourt Resources’ broader commitment to improving community well-being by ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare. “Our presence here is not solely for industrial purposes, but also to create tangible social value, such as delivering healthcare directly to rural communities,” said Rohani Simbolon, Manager of Community Development at Agincourt Resources. Head of the Public Health Center, Erwina Rafni Harahap, also expressed her hope that the program would continue in the coming years due to the high level of enthusiasm and evident need within the community.

The initiative received widespread appreciation, including from the Deputy Regent of South Tapanuli, H. Jafar Syahbuddin Ritonga, who described the program as a genuine reflection of the company’s care for the local population. “We deeply appreciate Agincourt Resources’ contribution, not only in business operations but also in their commitment to public health outreach,” he remarked. Daniel Affandi Harahap, Head of Angkola Sangkunur Subdistrict, added that the program significantly benefits economically disadvantaged residents.

The impact of the program was felt directly by beneficiaries like Gustina and Ummi. “Normally, we can’t afford to see a specialist or take our children for proper check-ups because it’s too far and expensive. But today, we were treated with care and at no cost,” they shared gratefully. For many, the program addressed long-standing gaps in access to quality medical care in remote areas.

Through Specialist Doctors Reach Villages, Agincourt Resources continues to strengthen its role as a community partner. More than just a social initiative, the program represents the company’s genuine commitment to creating lasting, positive impact and growing alongside the communities surrounding its operations.
