This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Facilities & Services Department and will report directly to the Senior Supervisor – Camp and Catering.
The Supervisor – Camp and Catering will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of camp and catering operations across the Martabe site. This includes direct supervision of contractor performance related to catering, housekeeping, laundry, and events. The successful candidate will ensure daily operations are executed effectively, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
- Holds a Diploma III in Hospitality, with a specialization in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency is highly desirable.
- Proficient in operating computers and common software applications.
- Possesses sound understanding and practical experience in catering services or other food-related service industries.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervising camp operations, preferably within a mining operational environment.
- Well-versed in food safety standards, food preparation, quality presentation, and high-standard customer service delivery.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and professional presentation tools.
- Good understanding of kitchen equipment usage and basic maintenance practices.
- Strong customer service orientation, with proven supervisory capabilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
