Environmental Transparency Agincourt Resources Announces 2025 Processed Water Results

The management of processed water is a vital aspect in sustainable mining practices. Public disclosure is not only a regulatory obligation but also a way of building trust with communities regarding mining operations. In line with this spirit of transparency, Agincourt Resources held the Dissemination of Processed Water for Semester I 2025 at the Mega Permata Hotel, Padangsidimpuan, on Tuesday, 16th September 2025.

Deputy Manager Stakeholder Relations, Adi Lubis, and Manager Environmental of Agincourt Resources, Mahmud Subagya attended the event. In his remarks, Mahmud Subagya expressed his appreciation for the presence of Sofyan Adil Siregar, Regional Secretary of South Tapanuli, serving as Chair of the Integrated Team, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Subdistrict Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) of Batang Toru, representatives of the village surrounding the mine, academics, and technical experts. “The involvement of all parties ensure that the monitoring process is conducted more effectively, reliably, and transparently,” he stated.

Sofyan Adil Siregar emphasised that the dissemination and announcement of laboratory results are a regulatory mandate that must be carried out openly. This activity is based on the Decree of the Regent of South Tapanuli Number 188.45/582/KPTS/2024, valid for the period 2024–2028, ensuring that the monitoring of residual process water is conducted in accordance with regulations, involving academics and the community as independent overseers.

During the forum, sealed envelopes containing the laboratory test results were opened in front of hundreds of attendees. The analysis confirmed that the acidity level (pH) and other elements complied with environmental quality standards, ensuring that the processed water is discharged into the Batang Toru River was safe and met regulatory requirements.
